Jenny Marx  [Kurze Umrisse eines bewegten Lebens, 1865.]

During the year 1853 Marx wrote two articles a week for the american newspaper “Tribune”. In America the marxist thought was very important. I and Karl with our family lived in London and the income from the “Tribune” was a great relief for our children. Some articles written by Karl were also printed in fly-sheets then my husband became famous also in the House of Commons.

In the summer of the same year Louise Marx, the sister of Karl, and Juta got married. They visited us in London before going to Cape Town where Juta wished manage a bookstore. We took beautiful days in that summertime.

gold obelisk in venice

maybe i am going on to be too much old but i am a bit annoyed by the artistic pieces distribuited along the grand canal in venice anyway i have to admit that the reflexions of the sun light on the obelisk in the water of the canal it is really a masterpiece
