Commentary

Long time ago, at the shore of the canal there were wood poles and nets, early morning. Water quite motionless, icy water, meanwhile the fisherman climbs along the shore bringing a hamper full of crabs caught during the nite. Oh the hard job of the fishermen. Surely this job is harder than the literature or painting , this shows the meaning of rerum natura. At least the world is here for you but I do not eat crabs, maybe somebody else does it. I was soon surprised (with a little guilty conscience) about my elegiac view about an early morning on december. A crooked flashing time.
